The Sinapsi Alfa is a Data Source that supports Open Meter 2.0 smart meters which are commonly used in Italy.

Connection to Metering Devices

The Sinapsi Alfa connects to smart meters via a power outlet using power line communication over the CHAIN 2 communication channel defined by the Open Meter 2.0 standard. Once connected, the Sinapsi Alfa reads data from the smart meter, including electricity consumption and production data.

Connection to AIIDA

To configure the Sinapsi Alfa, the customer can access a configuration web interface via WiFi. Through this interface, the Sinapsi Alfa can be configured to send energy data to AIIDA via Modbus.
